NEW MANUFACTURING FACILITY FOR MEDTECH STARTUPS OPENED IN BRISBANE
The T3 Cleanrooms at Brisbane’s Translational Research Institute were officially launched on Wednesday. The new facility was backed by a $500,000 grant from the federal government-funded MTPConnect Growth Centre, with the same amount invested by the TRI and in-kind support from Vaxxas, which is based at the institute. TRI CEO Professor Scott Bell said the new facility met a critical gap for medtech manufacturing startups needing to scale-up for clinical trials and identified by Vaxxas. “Having access to this vital facility is enabling Vaxxas to progress its innovative vaccine technology from preclinical to clinical trials, and is a great example of the translational pathway that exists at TRI to foster the commercialisation of Australian medical innovations,” said Bell. The Lone Pine Koala Sanctuary in Brisbane, Australia, is a beautiful place to meet the koala and hand-feed the fabulous kangaroos. The Lone Pine Koala Sanctuary is known as the oldest but the biggest koala sanctuary in the world. When we went to this location, we enjoyed holding the koalas. There's a fee in doing so, but this already includes souvenir photos. It is also open seven days a week from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00. p.m. It was a fantastic day! By the way, this is 44 acre located in the suburb of Brisbane, the Fig Tree Pocket.
